Code of Practice

The Code of Practice is to enable Members to place their contribution to the Committee within an agreed framework in order to:

Maximise the expertise they bring to the Committee and eventually to Ministers and officials;
Ensure the strategic and confidential nature of DEAC's advice is maintained;
Minimise misunderstanding and confusion over ways of working; and
Continue the mutual respect between Ministers, officials and Members
